Gregory S. Blaschke
Naval Medical Center San Diego
Doctor Blaschke is the Assistant Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego. He has an integral role in developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum for the Pediatricians and Community Collaborating Together Residency Training. In addition, he has worked with the Bright Futures Health Promotion Work Group creating a curriculum to promote key concepts and skills for a contextual approach to pediatrics - incorporating the child, family, and community.

Philip Nader
UCSD Pediatrics
Doctor Nader is nationally and internationally known for his role in community-based education and research. He has designed and evaluated school and community health educational programs.

Vivian Reznik

Doctor Reznik is Professor of Pediatrics. She is P.I. of the Community Outreach Partnership Center, The Center of Excellence on Youth Violence Prevention, the UCSD Center for Leadership in Academic Medicine targeting, women and other minorities.

Doctor Anders is a nationally known and locally revered teacher for her grass roots organizing and clinical teaching skills, program innovations, with both urban poor, rural and Native Americans populations.

Christine L. Johnson

Doctor Johnson is General Pediatrics Division Officer at Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). As a general pediatrician, her special interests include undergraduate and graduate medical education, as well as pediatric environmental health. Dr. Johnson is currently also co-coordinator of the NMCSD Pediatric Residency Community Pediatric Rotation and the Director of the Pediatric Residency Continuity Clinic.

Dean Sidelinger
UCSD Pediatrics
Doctor Sidelinger joined the faculty in the UCSD Division of Community Pediatrics in July 2003 following completion of his Community Pediatrics Fellowship. Dr. Sidelinger utilized the knowledge and skills learned during completion of his MSEd to help develop curriculum for Community Pediatrics training in San Diego during his fellowship. He also serves as Chair of the Juvenile Justice Commission of San Diego County and co-medical director of the Teen Outreach Mobile Clinic.

Khawla Suleiman-Qafiti is Community health physician with Family Health Centers of San Diego.
Doctor Suleiman is a board certified pediatrician who completed a fellowship in community pediatrics at UCSD. She has great interest in cultural diversity and school health. Dr. Suleiman enjoys teaching and serving the impoverished undeserved community.

Howard Taras, Interim Chief, Community Pediatrics

Doctor Taras is a Professor in UCSD's School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. He specializes in the area of Community Pediatrics and School Health. He consults to numerous schools and day care centers in San Diego County, including San Diego City Schools, the nations 7th largest district.
